Just got a 1981 XS650 and want to build it into a bobber. I want to get it running before I start cutting. I'll post a pic of it here in a bit.

Welcome aboard! What happened in that shop? Did someone take a ride around knocking shit over? Or was the bike rescued from a hurricane sight? LOL!
Getting it running and riding it enough to get it running right is a good plan. Much better than doing months of work and tons of cash then find the engine wont run. Seen that happen too many times.
