Just a technical tip. After 5 weeks of a no start no crank condition with my 1980 650 Special I spent 5 hours with a multimeter tracing the entire wiring harness to find no problems. To make a long story short it was a loose screw on one of the two screws that attach the starter kill wires to the switch. After tightening the screws I found that an easy check for this would be to turn on the ignition and cycle the kill switch on and off, if you can hear the safety relays clicking the kill switch is operational. I just thought I would pass this on to save anyone time in diagnosing a similar problem. :bike:
