3 bolt exhaust valve covers makes it a '70 or '71

If the engine side covers are original I'm guessing a 70.
Screw in clutch adjust cover was one year only I think....'70

746 would that have needle bearings on the wrist pins?
That's 000146 not 746 and yes needle small end, like weathervane. I think up to 2000, 2500 sump'n like that.
Being such a low no, would be interesting to know if there were others left that are earlier. if you could find out, could be worth more to a collector.

Not going off pics i have. The XS1B has the bracing in some pics but not in others, maybe there was a change mid year in 71 but then again there is no way to tell if those cases are original.
Pretty sure 2M's 1B has the bracing as well
This one doesn't have them and the engine side-case looks to be original
