PAMCO Ignition System

I bought my bobber with a Pamco system already installed. I recently left the key on by mistake and fried the coil. I replaced it and still won't start. Can you test this system for spark with an inline tester? If the coil fried what else may have too? Is there a way to identify which Pamco system I have?

nomad07,

When the coil shorts out from the excessive heat due to being left on, the short also destroys the transistor in the PAMCO. If you have the original PAMCO you can buy a replacement plate with the electronics on the web site www.yamahaxs650.com for $63.

Hi Pete, I ordered a plate from Pamco but i'm not sure if it is the right one or not here is what is on my bike now. Is the one I ordered correct or do I need to also order the e- advancer?

Pete,

Been multiple weeks since my order through your site and have not received notice of shipment nor any communication. Attempted to contact you multiple times through PM with no response yet you continue to post in the garage forum. Thanks.
