Random Miss Fire left side

[1978 Tracker]

I just picked a clean tracker 1978 with a 1983 motor installed on the resto. I get a random misfire on the left cylinder like weak spark. It has a single coil, I thought 1983 had the dual coils. New bike to me and don't have the manuals to trouble shoot yet. It runs great but has a random miss fire on the left side. Any suggestions?

'83 was TCI ignition. Single coil.

What the best replacement coil and wires? It ohm's at 4.5K, a bit on the low side. Want to freshen up the bike. Motor has 2700 miles since a full resto in 1995.

Look for a used Honda MP08 coil on Ebay. Best replacement coil for the TCI bikes out there. A forum search will tell you more. Lot's of info on it here.
