Gary, Time is valuable and I really don't like wasting anybody's valuable time. I have a bicycle repair shop and work primarily on racing machines. I have no problem with customers coming around and spending time. They usually end up having something done on their bikes.
What really gets me is when someone orders something on the internet and then expects me to install the part--or worse, when they get something on the internet, botch the installation and expect me to make it nice. People have no idea how many special tools are needed to work on bicycles. You are looking at about 3K not counting metric sockets, ratchets, and wrenches.
