Anybody see the Triumph show on the Speedmakers show the other night on Speed channel? Triumph has some pretty cool bikes. This is the one that caught my eye, not the typical Harley wannabee that everyone seems to be making. I think this would be high on my list if I was to buy a new bike. 8K doesn't seem too out of line.

Good looking bike, and not a bad price either. I rode My buds Speed Triple for a while, Triumph has very good quality control, and retains its resale value prtty well, too. A far cry from My old 71 Trophy 250 single vibrator.

I'm working on getting a speed triple. Great bike. I grew up with Triumphs/Nortons and love 'em. Triumphs have a great following and they make quality machines. The Thruxton, Bonneville and Triple are amazing bikes to ride. The shop my friends own has, mmmm, like 50 of them in there. Lots of BSA, Norton and the Triton (Norton Featherbed frame and a Triumph engine). The classic cafe. They are on "Cafe Racer TV" on Discovery HD and built one. That's a good show!!http://www.caferacertv.com/
I've got a Norton frame and trying to get a Triumph engine, but I'm gonna finish the XS first.
This was out front yesterday:

They have been making bad ass bikes for years!!! Only reason everyone puts them down, sometimes, is that the old ones need to be adjusted, like the XS. But some people don't want to get their hands dirty, or buy what everyone else has. Ride one some time, you'll see.
