SPEEDO/TACHO ASSEMBLY and POSITION on TOP YOKE

Would some kind friend please tell me if the speedotacho assembly sits on top or below the top yolk

Secondly, I am waiting for my Vernier calipers to arrive, but in the meantime does anyone know the internal diameter of the yoke holes to attach the speedo/tacho assembly?

I want to order what I believe are called WELL BOLTS to fit in there, so the dimensions are important.

ANLAF, the cluster mounts on the bottom. I ran into the same thing awhile back.

Gauges sit on top of the yoke. On an original style bike the the cables would not be able to be attached if the cluster was lower, (bottom of yoke).

The bolts are 5mm and the hole in the rubber mounts are 6mm if those are the dimensions you want.

with your bike being a chopper if the light mounts lower then the gauge bracket may be mounted on the bottom of the yoke.

Thanks for the pics, 650Skull, that's a great help. Yes, I have adjustable headlamp mounts so I can go above or below.

As for those well nuts I want to order them, but want to be sure they will fit into the hole on the top yoke. I will order 6m well nuts, and I think the diameter of the hole is 26m or so. I haven't found anyone selling these things who gives the dimensions.

I'll keep looking.
