Spokes

When a friend was getting his wheels laced for his 840 he was advised against stainless spokes, because they would bend or even snap, he had them laced anyway and sure enough some have bent, I think this only aplys to the rear wheel though.
 
I would assume it would apply to front rims/spokes, too. You might not have the torque of the motor applied to the front spokes, but there is certainly a lot of force applied to them when braking, more than the rear will ever feel (from braking). Plus front spokes are generally a bit longer (19 vs 18" wheel, no drum brake) which, at the same spoke diameter, will make the spokes weaker.
