Stator cover

To the experience this may be a very stupid question. However I am inexperience and probably stupid so here goes.

Could you make a replacement stator cover out of a flat sheet of brass cut to the right diameter and drilled with two mount holes?

What I guess I am asking is if there is anything that need clearance behind it that making it dead flat would interfere with.

It does need to be relieved a little on the inside for the end of the crank. I have made several on cnc out of 1/4" stock

Any chance you could email me the CAD file? I will make mine manually but be nice to have a drawing I can dimension up to work off.

Unless you have a solid works or mastercam liscense I don't think you'd be able to use them. But it is simple. Turn the inside thickness on 1/4" flat untoll you have .100" left. That will be plenty of clearance
