Swingarm Brace Dimensions

tried a rebel shock ,their about 10 1/2 inchs and direct bolt on except for the chain guard ,havnt ridden a xs hard tail but reckon wouldn't be much difference ,near killed my kidneys and they were brand new ,did give enough clearance between guard and tyre though

I know this an old thread but looking to fit a taller/wider rear wheel. The Radian has a 16" rear but would that swingarm with a 2" extension be about the best easiest path and would it require bracing??
