Throttle Cable

All,
I have recently installed a basic throttle assembly (no switches). I'm having trouble gaining the right tension on the cable. There seems to be too much slack. Any ideas?

Have you used the adjuster on the cable?

let me specify the slack is where the cable connects to the twist. I'm using a simple twist setup with no switches. will the adjuster correct that?

The cable itself has the adjuster on it, I run nothing but this type of setup. Should be able to get all slack out with the cable adjuster

hey mine looks like that i adjusted it with the cable too.

Your cable should have a bit of slack. That way when you turn the handle bars to one side, as in low speed parking lot turns, the throttle won't rev up unexpectedly.
