Hey friends,

I had a question and was looking for some information but coming up short. I have seen a number of people making bobbers or cafes and I look at the bars and they only have a throttle cable and no bar controls on that side. I am inspired by the bobber made by Cassio Silva (http://www.pipeburn.com/home/2010/10/20/1981-yamaha-xs650-bobber.html) and was wondering what this is all about. I know that it is a throw back to the earlier days of motorcycling before the advent of these safety and convenience devices but i am having trouble finding answers about them.

1. What are they technically called so i can look them up?
2. Where or what website would i go to find them?
3. They aren't that difficult to install are they?

I would greatly appreciate any information. I love the clean look and hope to do this to some of the bikes and cafes that I am yet to build. Any wisdom that can be offered would be greatly appreciated. :bike:

usually just need to build a custom cable to get the correct length, or have your local shop put one together for you.
