'74 TX, all stock. Out for a ride and noticed turn signals not working. Pulled the flasher, dead. Picked up a new flasher, put it in, 3 flashes(heard the flasher, no indicators or signals) and the main fuse popped. Replace fuse (30amp). Pull the flasher, key on, all good. Replace the flasher, key on, flasher is ticking, but signal switch is off. No indicators or lights. Pull the switch, look inside, all looks OK. With switch hanging by the wires(not grounded to handlebar), switch off, flasher ticks, but no indicators or lights. So I believe I've eliminated the switch as the source of the issue. I'm guessing there is a short to ground somewhere. Just wondering if anyone else ever had this, save me some wire tracing. Somehow power is getting to the flasher even with the handlebar switch off.
