Uni breather filter

What is the best way to clean a uni breather filter? All I can find on their site re cleaning is that “ no special cleaners are required”.

I just use gas on my UNI pods but I suppose you could use some sort of non-petroleum based de-greaser like Gunk. You're just washing oil off mostly.
