At that time, I didn't look for lighter guage wire; I was focused on getting the wires on the Virago dual-filament sockets that I was using into the XS650 headlight bucket, so drilled the stock 650 stems out a bit. Sometime after doing this, I read a post from a member who worked on aircraft (can't remember his name now) who did use a lighter guage aircraft wire that allowed him to pass two through the stock stem.I beg to differ Fred. Your XS11 may look like the others but I'll bet the ID of the threaded stalk is larger or they used smaller wire.
I'll wait to see how Aldo got around that.
