will the xs run ok if you use harley davidson 45 mikuni onna 2 into one intake

The 45 is a big carb even on a unmodified Harley, so I am guessing it would be a bit much for our 650's

You should only need a stock XS carb rejetted up a bit. (As long as you're still running a 360 degree crank)

agree only one cylinder running at a time, doesn't need to be bigger

Unless you are building a big bang motor, any crank configuration on a twin will separate the intake pulses enough that it won't require a bigger carb.

I ran a 40 mm on one and just had to play with jets because it was a little rich from the start. Harley carbs come with big jets so if its all you got get some small jets and play. Its not going to increase HP but sometime you got to use what you got.

Nah... agreed... 45's too fat. Even my 36mm Mik round-slide would have been way too fat without an appropriately leaner main, needle, needle jet, and pilot.
