Hi all!
I am just about to start my motor build/ rebuild, and would like to get some input.
I bought what seems to be an XS2 engine (decompressor and starter motor) with clean oil and what seems to be a fully functional gearbox.

I will use a rephased and completely rebuilt crankshaft with 533 rods from Heiden, together with a big fin 750 kit with the correct pistons for 533 rods,
and a rephased Shell#1 cam from Mrriggs, with R/D springs and titanium retainers.

The cylinder head is about to come off for inspection, glass bead blasting, new guides if needed, some light porting and a 3-angle valve job.
I also plan on replacing cam chain, tensioners, shaft seals during the rebuild.

Is there anything I need to be aware of, with the mentioned combination of parts?

Will the complete clutch from my 1977D model fit the XS2 engine?
(I have just changed all clutch parts in the original engine that came with the bike, and which I intend to keep stock, and as is.

Thankful for all tips!

Sounds like a runner. If you use the clutch complete it should go in fine.
