Hi guys, I have a Yamaha xs400 from 1983 and I need to replace the front forks with the front end.
I was wondering if I could fit a Yamaha mt03 front end and forks into my XS400.
Yup, you'll need to be the pioneer. I once put a ZX-9R front end on a ZXR750. The 750 had RWU forks, the 900 was USD.
Bit of head scratching, retained the 750 head stem, made a drawing for upper and lower yokes to fit the head stem and the thicker 750 forks, took it to a m/c engineer who made the yokes from billet, drilled them for clamp screws and screws to hold the instruments. So it wasn't that big a deal in the end. Hope this helps.
