Xs400 carbs

Just wondering if the xs400 used bs34 carbs like our 650s. I'm having trouble finding kits from the usual sources but 400 kits are easier to find. I'm mostly just looking to repair the float valves. Thanks.

Yes, the float needle and seat assembly from the '80-'82 XS400 carbs is the same as the 650 one. Cruzinimage has some nice kits and you may be able to use some of the other parts included as well (float bowl gaskets, mix screws, float bowl drain screw) .....

Partzilla shows that both the 650's and 400's used the same carb. Partzilla can be off the mark at times, but that agrees with my recollection of the 400's I've owned.
