I sent my carbs to Oldschoolcarbs in February, Jack at Oldschoolcarbs said 10-12 weeks. I said no problem, rebuilding engine. I have not heard a thing from Jack and he has not replied to my email. I'm begining to think I'll be in the market for replacement carbs soon.

Has anyone used a side stand spring from Mike's? I picked one up for my '75 and it seems on the short side.

'75 XS650 One cylinder sleeve is raised about 1.5mm above cylinder. Is heat needed to push sleeve back into cylinder? How sensitive is the XS to head stud height? When removing head one stud backed out about one turn. Heat the base to easily turn stud without damage? Thanks

I have a 75 xs650. I obtained the bike with the carbs in a box but cleaned and rebuilt. Do the '75 38 carbs have the upper x brace and the lower angle iron bracket? What other parts join the two together. A exploded view would be great. My Clymer manual shows the upper and lower brackets.

I've removed the four bolts and the cable is free from the battery. I've turned the starter every witch way from Wednesday and it doesn't want to fall. Do I need to remove the cable from the starter to get just a little more clearance? Thanks.
