Minor excursion, working in cold garage. Get some rubber pads to stand on, it makes a major difference in cold tolerance and knee comfort as well. 30 years behind the counter in retail, I always kept some sort of cushion underfoot.
Minor excursion,

...I actually put down a layer of cheap carpet plus the “anti-fatigue” mats andnthey do indeed help...
Get your knee done Pete. Do the physio right and get mobile again. A regular early morning constitutional, cut out the sugar and butter, (I didn't say the beer - I'm an Australian! However; I do only drink on weekends nowadays), lose a little of that "winter condition" and then, attack the cafe build. Spend 2 or 3 months on your health and the rest of your life you can spend on your passion. Had a few issues myself over the last 12 months but I'm on top now and back in the game and guess what? The XS was exactly where I left her, just 6 months older! I may not remember where everything goes but that's why I have you good fellows. So...... bon chance mon ami!
Now where the hell's my torque wrench??
We are happily reliving our Youth, DavidBeen a bit of grief on the forum since I last looked in.
Nice to be back geedubya I must say. Been a bit of grief on the forum since I last looked in. Hope all you folks are looking after yourselves as well as your bikes.
BTW Dave - great hat!
Gentlemen, that hat is a family heirloom I normally only wear when conversing with residents of the Americas, (I will make an exception for North Queenslanders in your case geedubya). In the sun cancer capital of the world, a man needs all the protection he can get, besides, I'd rather look like the "Cisco Kid on liquorice All Sorts" than be collared with some of the avatars on display in the forum. Put aside your petty jealousies and spare me the poisonous barbs.
Delighted to hear that your motorcycle is within reach GW - you lucky bastard! Still, I know if you add up the man hours the skinned knuckles, the disappointments and the dedication, luck has very little to do with it. Look forward to seeing photos.
Cheers
Come to Arizona sometime David, and we’ll talk about skin cancer and big hats. I’ve got some hats that are borderline ridiculous, but better than losing your ears or the end of your nose!
