Mailman’s new garage, it’s finally done!

Just got the box together. I really like it. At least up to the point when I was checking out the drawers and I pulled the bottom one out crooked and it came off of the track and a bunch of tiny ball bearings went everywhere and I spent about 45 minutes painstakingly putting them all back in.

But we’re all good now! I really do like it. And I know it’s technically a rolling cart, but it has nice deep drawers and that’s what I wanted , storage for some bulky tools.

No offense intended, Bob. I wish I had a tool box like yours where I had to move "The Basketcase" in order for me to work on it. I'm jealous of your garage! Mine is so hopelessly cluttered, I needed somewhere else to even work on it. I'm jealous of your bike too! The devil made me...

Bob you are gonna like that tool cart just make sure you get a few rolls of the drawer liner, makes a huge difference. The only reason I haven't picked one of those carts up is just no room. I have two stacker boxes already. One for SAE and another for Metric. I suppose I could get an old Triumph. then I'd need one for some Imperial tools lol

Thanks!
You know what’s funny, I had a couple rolls of drawer liner in my hand and then I realized , the box came with lined drawers. Thanks

Ok guys! Two weeks have passed since my last post here and I’m finally ready for the big reveal!

I got everything checked off my wish list, I’ve been working diligently to get ‘er done! So last time I posted , I had just hung my red pegboard up. Since then I’ve had an electrician come out and add four more wall outlets and I also added a 12 plug power strip under the front edge of my workbench, so I went from two available plugs to 22, that’ll do!
Then I had my new cabinets installed, not a huge run, but one that fits the space available, 12’ x 6’ x 24” deep.

I also added three new LED , 48” long shop lights to supplement the rather anemic fluorescent fixture that was already out there. The one that is mounted over my work bench is especially nice, it is motion activated and it works way better than I thought it would. Open the door to the garage and , instant light, and it’s very bright too.

Now that the cabinets are up , I could finish unpacking all the boxes and get my tools unpacked. I was able to set up my pegboards.

Also please take note of my “New Garage Art” above my pegboard is a rogues gallery of forum members taken from this year’s calendar. I shall rotate these photos occasionally.
I also got my new Harbor Freight rolling tool cart, which I am VERY happy with , it holds a ton of stuff and is very sturdy.

The garage looks pretty well stuffed, and it is, it’s slightly smaller than my last garage, and a lot of the space is taken up with tubs and cabinets full of XS2 parts. Once I get my bike back together, I’ll have a lot more storage space. This whole cabinet compartment , for instance, and everything on top are XS2 parts. And there’s more in other cabinets.

Hi Bob,
what a nice shop and I'm not jealous at all. What I am is truly and deeply envious.
Especially as since our recent move all I have for a heated workspace is a 7'-9" x 7'-9" room in the basement.
Mind you, a 4' LCD striplight really lights up that small of a space.
