Billet Rear Sets. ALL XS650's

Have all of the issues been worked out with the rearsets.

I have a 81 special. Is it bolt on? Will I need to replace the kick start with that of an SR500? How much shipped?

Best,
Adam

I am working on full instructions with exploded views. I Hopefully i will get to post these early next week.

I think i have the bugs worked out. I have an 1980 that has been converted to a rear drum style. But the brake pivot assembly was left intact. this allowed me to cut and drill the factory pedal and adapt it to my new bottom pull lever. ( you can still use the brake light switch ) Looks like things clear with my original mid control design i had a few months ago.!!!! Ill be working dilligently on it in the following 2 days to hammer things out even more.

New pics of shifter side and Mid controls!!!!
I used the stock brake pedal, drilled and cut. It is angled back towards rear, and the lever has the angle to match. I can press very far down before it hits the pipe. I now its an aftermarket muffler, but the header pipe is cut pretty short. I hae a 2 into one i will be fitting up in the next few days and take new photos.

I am hoping to have mounts by next week. Late. I have everything else is ready. These new ' mid' mounts will be cheaper to machine, so I will have new pricing on these at the end of this week.

Ill post a pic of the kick starter all the way down. Ill do that tonight.

As far as rear disk setups, It may work like it is, with the brake pedal modification done in the pic. Cut off, and drilled a new hole in it. This bike was converted to drum when i got it, but I have access to another thats stock can look at.
Price will be $165 plus shipping.

That includes the following
Folding pegs
Levers
Linkage components (threaded rod, and rod ends )
Mounts
Mount spacers
nuts for mounts
toe pegs.

I dont supply the splined shift arm anymore. They are way to expensive to source from Ebay in the quantities i need. But they are still available there. Its from an R1, or R6. Offset style. they wree from MANY late model Yammies, from 1990 on.

Correct. Everything in the pics minus the splined shift arm, and you re-use your brake arm. You can even re use your splined shifter like i did in the pics.

However, I am waiting on peg hinges from my machine shop. I sold 8 (CB350) sets this week which use the same pegs and levers, and that wiped me out of hinges. Ill find out frm my shop tonight when i will get more in.

A friend of mine once made rear-sets for RD400's. He had some mild steel square stock splined for them. I think he still has some of those pieces laying around. I could ask him about them. If not, if you want to have your own made, it's a common spline size that many shops that specialize on broaching have. I forget how much it cost to spline each one, but it wasn't much.
