YO SHEPP!
Needing a seat lock? Put a "Wanted" add in the classified section......and pics, we love to see pics.
I sold my 650 to a friend in 1979. He sold it to another friend in the same home town. That guy had ridden it on and off for years. 6 years ago, he had it restored, rode once, filled with gas, put in a shed and that was it. I had lost track of it after I sold it. 8 months ago I stopped by his house to talk and he walked me out to the shed and showed it to me. He told me I had owned it and I did not remember... Until I found that picture and under the seat was a receipt with my name on it from a repair shop, 1979. I hounded him for 7 months. It is now in my garage. How cool is that where had it been that you were able to find it?
Sorry for the delay. It had been with the same owner in his shed. in 2016, I drove by his house and stopped to say hi. He walked me out to hid shed, pulled the cover off and asked what I thought. I said ..looks nice. He told me that it had been mine & I did not believe him or remember it. I took a pic and sent to my best friend. He produced the picture of me sitting on it and all the memories flooded back. Thats when I began hounding him to sell to me. He finally caved. How cool is that? Where had it been that you were able to find it?
Yes, it certainly has!Welcome to the site. You are fortunate to have reunited with that machine.
Riding gear sure has changed, eh?
Crazy.. He restored it 6 years ago for Bobby. He filled with gas and put it away, didn't follow any directions to store it correctly. Steve was extremely helpful in directing me to get it up and running. The original tank and seat are back on and it runs great!Hey Joe,
I had heard a rumor that you had gotten it back from Hillman. Good on ya and good to see you here. Between this sites very helpful membership and the knowledge and friendship of our ol' buddy Danser you'll have many years to enjoy that old girlfriend.......just keep breathing and don't let her get away. The '75 has some real enthusiasts here.
