Hvis du har Microsoft Word, kan du skrive på norsk og oversette til engelsk, og deretter kopiere / lime inn her

If you use a browser that supports it.... I use Brave.... Google Translate is a click away. Highlight the text you want to translate and a "translate button" pops up....
Click it and your translation pops up. Copy it, change the language... or jus' bitch about Google... makes me no nevermind... it works.

I was having a problem trying to figure out this Google transilate thing then I decovered I had to add that to my Brave Browser. To do that I just clicked on what ever the name of that thing at the upper right corner of the page circled in red below:

Then there was an option to add the Google translate.

On an aside, somewhat related. Saw a video about the amount of Viking (Nordic) words incorporated into the English language from contact in the late 700's through the Danelaw. Rather interesting at 900 plus words and then to see these posts with their translations back to back for comparison. I see some similarity in the writing and picture the gist of the subject......hearing the spoken word may be a different matter..........
Winter weather? Projections for later this week is for around zero degrees Fahrenheit, minus 20 wind chill. Some comparison talk of the Blizzard of '78. I've been ready for a blizzard of '78 since soon after the blizzard of '78 that I wasn't ready for.........

Well on this "Hate Winter" thread I have to mention that wife might not be too happy. See last weekend daughter and her husband and son were to come for an early Christmas. But do to a snow storm around here they decided to cancel and reschedule to this weekend! Not looking good right now for this weekend either!

Then again as anyone familiar with winters in Central NY everything depends on the exact angle the wind comes across Lake Erie and Lake Ontario. I can have nice green lawn in my yard and less than 1/2 hour drive north they will be measuring snow in feet not inches!

Well, today is the shortest day. The worst weather might still be to come but at least we know that Winter's gloom is going to recede.

Uhm, for us N Hemisphere dwellers. For those down South, Happy Summer Solstice - enjoy your Summer!

For us in Old Blighty, it all depends on the wind direction too. At the moment, Westerlies bringing mild and wet weather off the Atlantic. Later this week, expected to veer to Northerlies bringing us cold Arctic winds. Just a few degrees colder will give us snow, then the skies will clear, the whole blinking lot will freeze and the country will grind to a halt.

A nice fireplace makes it tolerable for me. I no longer have one. I’ll deal with summer’s mosquitoes thanks.
I'm having a bit of fun with this cold wave. Just finished putting a woodstove in the shed/barn/garage to help keep the hot tub from freezing. Also learned a very important fact about burning wood in a woodstove or fireplace. DO NOT burn lilac wood in them. I had the worse case of dripping creosote all over the outside of the new chimney by just burning a few lilac logs. Had visions of dripping fire on my asphalt shingles all last night. Today I cleaned off the drippings with gasoline, fire wasn't burning at the time.:D My son-in-law brought me a load of good hardwood today for Christmas. I'll save the lilac for the firepit.
