Wow thats some serious wear WeekendRider. I never saw anything to that extent on the slotted disc.
You bringing this up prompted me to take shots of my original advance plate (i said i would). One stop was about 1.5mm bent out allowing the over advancement. Also some damage to the back. Not sure if that was related...
The range issue was solved by buying a new OEM ATU. Interestingly, when i fitted that (with the new springs, disc etc) my idle would hang. If i blipped the throttle hard after it had warmed up for a moment (not under load), it would hang at about 4k. I didnt expect that with OEM parts. Anyway, fixed by removing one new spring, and putting on one of the old but stock springs with ONE loop removed.
