air box to air filters (pods)

Hi, I'm new to the site and i admire everyone helping each other out! that's what the world needs more of. Back to the subject, i just switched from the stock airbox to (pods) air filters. anything i need to know before i mess with any of the screws?? i fired it up yesterday and had no power and some smoke coming out of the right carb.It was tuned and ran fine before the change. I also have a number of parts i pulled off in my build (speedo, covers, etc.) so if anyone is in need of anything like that, let me know. thanks in advance!

What pods did you put on? Some have a lip around the inside and blocks off the air holes around the carb bell. Those air holes vent are used to add air to the pilot and main jets. The big one on top is a vent for the slide. No vent = no slide lift.
