I am sure that Pacer could be a great electric car design for the future.

Keep your Pacers and Gremlins. I could go for one of these. The car dammit the car.
OK I'm old not dead. Wonder if the girl plays chess.

That's not a Javelin. Javelins were OK. Look close at the pic. May have been based on a Javelin, much more performanced oreantied.A pal of mine in high school had a Javelin with a 290 V8 (289???) and was a pretty decent car. We went to Myrtle Beach NC on a winter break in about 1975 in it. He bought it on an impulse when we were 16 (in 1974) and I think the he wound up paying for it at least twice over, given the interest rate on the "My Cousin Vinny" loan he got.
Oooops - no politics - sorry, my bad.
...and no, it didn't come with the girl (more's the pity) but at least his hair dye wasn't running down his chinny chin-chin during the trip.....
(oh shit, I did it again...ooops....)

Shop I worked at in the late 70's one was shipped to us by rail. It had had a dash fire. We re-wired the dash and replaced burnt parts. Everyone had great fun test driving it.
Real AMXs are 2 seaters. Kind of like the difference between XS650 standards and those things they called Specials.Initially there was the 4 seat Javelin and the 2 seat AMX. In the early 70's they dropped the 2 seater and offered the plain jane Javelin and the hotrod Javelin AMX.... both 4 seaters.

The problem is that those two bikes (the Kawi W800 and R-E Interceptor) are simply not widely available in Canada. There are dealers, but not many and none in my area.
I guess its a darned good thing I have my 45 year old version of those bikes.....
As with Raymond - I am completely unmoved by the other offerings on the market. They are either:
Oh well - it would be better if I were elected to be The Emperor of Motorcycles.
- too impractical (the Italian bikes);
- too expensive (the German bikes);
- too unreliable (the German and Italian bikes)
- or not available or with only a few dealers here (the Kawasaki W800 and R-E Interceptor 650);
- or just way TOO GD$%#@### fugly (nearly all the rest).
Pete
What about the new, 850 cc V7 Special? My only minor complaint is that they should have used the higher spec V85TT engine (77 hp vs 65).
