I'm installing a Boyer Bransden ignition. I heard that the three or four screws that hold the brushes on the stator have to be switched out for nylon screws. They're not to be grounded. Is this right?

You mean like this? I'm putting that in too.
Help me Obi Wan INXS, you're my only hope.

- dlabkeeg, im no guru, just an interested enthusiast looking for my own questions to add answers to...without knowing what your rec-reg is and for which bikes its produced i cant give you definitive answers-it looks like its earthed-the 6 wires should be 3 white for field, red for pos, green for neg and brown for volt sensor...but dont take that as gospel...i hope it came with installation instructions

- mount it somewhere where it will get plenty of airflow as one of its functions is dumping excess power-hence the cooling fins

- make sure you get nylon screws and not plastic that will melt, im not familiar with the north american market so cant tell you where to get them, some of your compadres will be able to do this
