I`ve got a 73 engine with late model 34`s
Carbs were rebuilt by previous owner.
Runs out great .
Problem is at idle idle likes to climb up a bit .
Like if I`m riding and come to a stop.
Tweeking the throttle wont drop it down. The idle stop is returning.
Adusting the idle screw will bring it down when its up,and smooth out, but a tweek of the throttle after brings it back up or it idles too low and stalls.
Any thoughts
I am running straight pipes since I got it could this change be affecting anything.
It has unipod filters.
Thanks all.

First let me welcome you to the forum.
Read this.
It will help you understand your carbs better and how to adjust them for your mods.
Your idle problems could be several things. Air mix scews, sync, ATU a bit sticky.
Up at the top of every page you will find a row of headings, Click on the XS650 TECH. This willlead you to a list of topics and threads. Not a bad place to start learning about your bike.
