Hi, I'm in the midst of a top end rebuild and after assembling the cylinder I've noticed the tensioner arm is binding on the inside of the cylinder. I'm able to push it into position but its sticking. It's a new tensioner arm and I removed the brace at it's base to fit it in over a continuous cam chain, possibly I damaged it? it's seemed to install fine. Part of me just wants to hit it with a hammer!

Anyone experienced this? is the only solution disassembling the cylinder?

Thanks!

What your picture shows is normal. The tensioner blade will never push in that far once the chain is taught and while operating so no worries.
