Carb ID?

Hey guys,

The guy that I got my XS650 basket case gave me these Mikuni carbs with it that he was running on the engine. He said that he thinks they are from a Suzuki and he believes they are 40mm. Apparently it was a rack of 4 carbs that was cut down to just the pair to fit on the XS650 motor. Does anybody know what they are exactly?

Looks like a set of standard, late, XS650 38's to me. Measure across the bores on the throttle disc side to check size.

Yes, those appear to be a stock set of BS38s, a '76-'77 set.

Thanks guys. That makes sense, it came with my '77 engine.
