Carb question

Hi guys,
My original 73 is now ready and looks like the day it came off the assembly line and i wanted to adjust the carbs again to insure it runs better. I set them back in the bike and now it only starts when the choke is on and shuts off when the choke is turned off. could there be something in the idle jet? is the float height off? what do you guys think would cause this?

The low speed circuit is blocked................pilot jet, mixture screw setting. "Tech" section has info to read about your carbs.................especially the "Carb guide"
