Drive sprocket/chain noise

A peice of string would be cheaper and does the same job

But you'd have to come up with a way to align the string with the sprocket. I'm sure a guy could make somthing though.

A sprocket has a flat surface...............Align along the flat surface to the front sprocket and when the string meets the front of the back sprocket and misses the front sprocket then something is out of alignment.

Motion Pro sells a slick little alignment tool. I have one and really like it.

I thought it was a gimmick, but I bought one and it works really good. Some bikes are more difficult to align than others. This has been helpful on the tough ones.

I’m sure, but I also have the tool and I like it. For me, it was a worthwhile expense.
