Sorry mr Yeats that is a 447 centerstand and won't work for my early bikes. I sent madjap a PM and am still looking for a centerstand or 2, 70-73 will work.
I could not find the original thread I inquired in and I know that this is an old thread but for anyone who needs it I thought that It would be worth reporting that while someone suggested that I could cut some out of a new Center-stand from Mikes XS, for a fit, " not a bad idea if you must" but when I bought it from Mikes, I discovered that All I had to do was grind 1/16 of an inch or maybe a tad more, off of each side at the top and it slid right in my 70 XS1 so I was very pleased with that. Also got the correct mounting bolts NOS OEM online for $18.-- for the pair.
OZ !! The new one from mikes XS fits my 70 XS just fine if you just grind 1/16 in off of each side at the top. Yes I know it wont be totally original, but we are not dealing with $30k bikes here.
