EARLY only, XS1 clutch worm gear vendor

Ebay vendor finallywegotone sold me this:
YAMAHA NOS 256-16340-09 Clutch Push Lever assembly early XS1

He makes a steel replacement for the early 3 flute plastic worm, that is about a 100% failure item. I will post up some pics when I get mine. AFAIK this is the only game in town to fix this early part.

Is this the same as the 73 TX650 worm, Gary?

The vendor marked it that way on his ebay auction but as far as I know it is an EARLY XS1 part only. All the later worms came with a metal inner and plastic outer.



These have 3 spurs, all the later ones used 4.

You should be able to buy used or a new one at MikesXS
