engine temp

i can't find the treat where John posted the engine temps.
i want to pint my engine black.
can i use 300 (fahrenheit) paint?
or will the engine temp be more?
all i could find was 270, wich John reduced to 230.

the heads will run anywhere in the 240 260+ range depending on weather, speed in town on highway ect. look for hi temp engine paint 300° wal-mart crap won't cut it

it's eastwood radiator paint, but the also sell ceramic enginepaint that holds up to higher temps.
my first idea was whit summutracing hightemp paint, but the don't ship it to the netherlands.
