Hi All, new to the forum. I purchased a 78 xs650 special for $1000. Has xs performance carbs, 10" bars. 12" shorty mufflers and misc mods to start bobber project. I am not sure I want to go hardtail, although I like the lowered ride and extended wheelbase look.
I have looked at extended swing arms from wiseguy choppers, but... I heard that a swingarm from a gs550 works. Any one have info on this? How much additional length it gives, what mods are needed, and what year gs works?
Also saw the brat style seat lowering mod from visual impact, that is pretty interesting.
