Fastener sources - at good prices

If you are searching for metric fasteners or swap every bolt and nut with socket head polished stainless steel like me, I have a source. Fastenal located about everywhere. If they don't have it the Bolt Depot does: https://www.boltdepot.com/

Previously I was going to ACE, good selection, but the prices are totally out of control.

I've used the local Fastenal shop a few times, but they usually sell in larger quantities than I'm looking to buy. I like McMaster-Carr (at www.mcmaster.com ) for decent small volume prices.

The local fastenal stopped selling by the piece and the bags are big $$$$

I had that problem too. But the guy said oh, you just want one? Here - take it. So it worked out We have another similar chain that I can't remember the name of that sells separates.

I get bolts for work at Fastenal and they will usually find an open bag and sell me indivdidual bolts.

They sell me loose quantities, but I needed 24, polished SS socket heads 6mx35mm and a bag of 50 was only about $14.00 so I took them all.

You can go to Ace Hardware and buy onesies, but you'll pay 10 times the price.

I've used http://www.cmsnl.com/ parts fiches to find the lenghts and amounts of the various bolts, side covers tappet covers ect. then http://www.boltdepot.com/Catalog.aspx?wt.srch=1&wt.mc_id=bd&type=SN does a fine job
