1972 XS2 22000 miles red/ white $5500/ offers accepted
Its a solid great looking driver, not a show bike.
In very good condition, but thats subjective. 8/10? Ill let you decide-

Mechanically the bike is near perfect. Everything works- from the horn and signals to the brakes and starter. New tires, battery, air filters, oil, etc. Original Seat is clean and undamaged.
Original hand grips, mirrors, side covers, etc.
Exhaust has no holes and sounds fantastic.
Runs strong- runs , shifts, stops as it should.

Adult owned, garaged and on a battery tender.

The bad- sun damage on the top of the tank and top of the headlight. Light rust with pitting on both fenders. The chrome looks great from 5 feet, but upon close inspection you can see imperfections and feel small bumps-

The bottom line- to make this bike perfect i would have the tank and headlight bucket repainted and the front and rear fenders replaced. Ive seen absolutely gorgeous examples for sale for $15000 (there is one for sale in Pennsylvania right now with 10000 miles on the clock) and I would dare say that that bike is worth it. This bike is 3/4 as good with double the miles.

Happy to talk with you about it. Pictures coming-

I have couple of questions about maintenance.

Has the front brake line been replaced??

Has the damper behind the front brake rotor been checked??

What does the inside of the tank look like ??............do you have pics of the inside??

Has the front, cam chain guide, been replaced??

Whats the condition of the chain and sprockets??
650- are you local to Marin county? If so, you should stop on by and check the bike out. It may be easier to provide you the answers you’re looking for that way.
The bike is a regular driver so all the basics are in great shape such as the gas tank inside ( clean) and chain and sprocket. The front brake line has been replaced. I can’t speak to the cam chain guide but I can say the original owner (I’m the third) was a fanatic and if anything needed to be done I’m sure it was. No I don’t have receipts.
I’ll post more pictures -
