I have an untitled 1980 frame that can never see the road again. Trying to think of things I can use it for. Has anyone made an engine stand from one?
Suggestions?
Thanks,

Honestly, I think it's easier to build an angle iron stand. Once you cut the top off the frame, you'd need to weld a brace across the front to keep the spacing and also weld "feet" on the bottom so it will sit properly and level on your bench. Lots of good tubing and "parts" in an old frame though. I've cut up several and used portions in my various projects. The latest was the top motor mount area .....

It became the pivot points for the handle on my portable shock spring compressor .....

Kinda what I thought but thought I'd float the concept see if I had overlooked something. Perhaps I'll keep it around for "gadgets" as suggested.

Very cool spring compressor.

Thanks,
