Your cap and emblem look a bit far forward? Mebby from a smaller special, Xs400 ???

Yeah, looks like a special. If I'm not mistaken, the '78 and '79 both had the dual petcocks.
Yes it look a bit smaller than the standard tanks, but then again I have no special tanks to compare to, otherwise the tank mount all look like the standard I have

Fwiw, the rear mount looks 650. Seems to me the rear mount was different on the 400's I've had.

The rear mount is def xs650 and so are the front mount. Width of the tank fit XS frame and sits correctly - the decals I’m unsure about as this all came with other XS650 parts. Tank is clean inside and paint is fresh- so maybe my next XS will be yellow
