Going to the dark side

Be positive! It's not the dark side, you are cutting your carb cleaning in half!

Hi lakeview,
better yet, the saving on carb balancing time is infinite!
From what I remember from my Britbike days, the "sporty" twin carb bikes had more power and drank more gas than the single carb versions.
Betcha the increased performance was from the "sporty" version's better ported aluminum head, hotter cams and higher compression ratio; the dual carbs were there as a marketing strategy and added to the thirst.
And no, Richard; you know damn well it don't work like that, eh?

Just from personal experience. I have yet to get a single carb setup to work 100%. Whether vm34 or single cvk34 keihin. It's fine off of idle. But idle is never right. Always way rich on one side...it did idle a bit lumpy. And stalling the odd time which was the nail in the coffin for me. Didn't matter whose intake I used....and I have used both of the common ones. Until a frame option that allows it to be centered I will never use single again.
