Got mine running for the first time

Well I bought my XS last week and had some issues. Dead battery, old gas, bad ignition switch,dirsty carbs and it needed and ignition coil. Well today I hooked up the new coil after cleaning the carbs and it fired up after a few kicks. I had to jump the bike off my other bike's battery but once it was running I took it for a ride around the block with no problems. I need to replace my battery and hopefully my charging system is ok. Going to pick up a new battery this weekend. I'm psyched!!! Thanks for the help and patience with a few of my stupid questions.

woo hoo! Doesn't it feel good to get a bike running again after it's been dead for a while?

Hell yeah it does! Id like to know how long it sat. I bought the bike from a guy who owned it for a year and never had it running. Who knows how long it sat for.
