Great, PMA Install- stator plate bolt stripped.

Doing the pma install and i was putting the backing plate on to put on the new stator/alternator, snapped off one bolt going into the crank case...it's beyond salvaging...i broke off a easy out in the hole

not my finest hour. i use a bar style torque wrench and i guess it wasn't sensitive enough to pick up 7ft/lb's. ended up over torquing it.

So outside of buying a new lower engine case and going through a rebuild, what are my other options

Funny thing is I woke up and thought the same thing. Sleeping on it always works

Being that the plate doesn't hold fluid and has a low torque spec, welding in a nut should work...I just have to find a way to grind the bung down
