Headlight Modulators

Anyone have any thoughts?

I am thinking of getting Mike's 7 inch headlight H4 conversion kit and installing a headlight modulator.

I suppose they make you more visible. But if the other driver has their head up their uh blackberry it won't help. Got a buddy that uses one and it drives me nuts when I run with him.

You have a very good chance of becoming an organ donor. It seems unfortunate, but many car drivers don't seem to see motorcycles if you believe the articles in the newspaper. (Headlights always on helps, but size likely factors into it.)

I put a 7 inch halogen on my old Suzuki, works and looks great. (jcwhitney) But I'm with Gary, those modulators drive me fucking nuts. Almost make me angry when I see one coming at me. I don't know why, but that's what they do.

I think that's the point of them -- they are a visual irritant, thus they get noticed. I've seen lots of cop bikes running them. Gotta be a good reason for it. Usually when I see a bike with the modulated headlights, first thing I think is that it's a motorcycle cop -- and it usually is.
