It fails mentioning what to do if the croc goes into a death roll though. If the croc does go into a death roll, just spin your body with him and change your grip on the tree, hand over hand. Alternatively, spread your legs really wide, that will widen the crocs girth, making it impossible for him/her to roll over. I've used this trick many times in my trips North, it works well.
