how to: weld on HT

Hi!
im about do my first xs build, and i would just like to get some tips how to weld on my HT. i will buy a HT from TC Bros, but can i just cut the frame and weld it on?? how did you guys do? did you just weld it on or did ju make a jig??

It looks better. That's about the only reason. This is coming from a guy who TIG's everything Either TIG or MIG done properly work perfectly fine.

Also, it's easier to poorly weld MIG if you don't know what you're doing, because a newbie can put down a cold weld with no penetration with a MIG and it still looks good, with a TIG if you make a crappy weld it's pretty obvious.

For what it may cost you to have it done by a shop properly, you may be better off sending your frame in for them to do for you.
