But I'm cleaning out the ju...uh..."Spare Inventory" pile. Got my 18' trailer about half full, not quite done yet.
You are going to need something from there next week. I’d put money on it. That’s how it work round my house anyway.
The hell you say....I need to stick a crowbar in my wallet and actually BUY steel for projects. I hear folks do that these days...
Most of what's going is odds and ends of rusty, bent, bashed and boogered steel. Very little actually useful without being more work than it's worth. I need to stick a crowbar in my wallet and actually BUY steel for projects. I hear folks do that these days...
Next thing you will be telling us people buy new things like snowblowers! I might have three or is it four spare parts machines just incase the two main line machines need parts. I will admit that a couple years back I did break-down and buy two new "old-stock" motors as the price was too good to pass up!Most of what's going is odds and ends of rusty, bent, bashed and boogered steel. I have a somewhat smaller pile of assorted scrap, steel, electric wire (copper & aluminum) and other stuff. Just hope when I decide to haul it away for scrap I at least break even for the gas to get it there!1400-ish pounds of mixed iron, $60. Not gonna get rich at that rate, but the pile under the maple tree looks MUCH better.
